Can You Wait To Cast Your Vote?
(April 16, 2021)The local council elections in Warminster will involve an unprecedented number of postal votes.
Independent candidates are taking the unprecedented step asking the residents to wait until the first Monday in May to return their ballot papers.
"We are well aware that postal votes are now a huge number of those that are cast," said Independent candidate Paul Macdonald.
"We would just like to ask that those with this opportunity to do this wait until they have seen our leaflets which are being written now and will take time to deliver.
"The Warminster Journal have once again given every candidate the chance to write 150 words about their aspirations if elected to the town or county council.
"It would be good if everyone together voted in the same week even if not at the same polling station."
