New Councillor Gets New Response
(June 15, 2021)Warminster Independent councillors are not wasting any time in taking issues raised with them by local residents and just weeks after being elected one 'old fashioned' member had good news to report.
In the second of 'topped and tailed' letters personally hand delivered to residents of Imber Road he had good news about some of their issues about where they live.
'I thank you for the positive response I received to my letter to you two weeks ago,' corresponded Councillor Macdonald'
'I can now give you a very positive update about the road surface issue.
'A Wiltshire Council highways engineer has now confirmed that ‘Imber Road, from its junction with Fairfield Road to Boreham Road is on the list to receive treatment this financial year.’
"I will be asking that this is done sooner rather than later after looking at the schedule whih county councillor Andrew Davis who helped with this," said Paul
Highways ‘technicians’ are now going to regularly inspect for problems which are not related to the de-lamination and several dangerous hazards to cyclists and motorcyclists have seen action.
"The next issue that I intend to address is flooding problems. I have double-checked. Wiltshire Council not Wessex Water are responsible for the gullies," said Paul.
Again the town council can put forward a request that something is done about this through a meeting of the Community Area Transport Group.
'Please let me know your experiences. One resident told me that the problem has existed for the 12 years he has lived in Imber Road.' added Pau in his hand delivered letter to residents
"I intend to do this and I have once again spoken to county councillor Andrew Davis who helped with the de-lamination problem.
