July 4th 2024 ... .UK.Independents Day Arrives
(May 24, 2024)In the United States of America July 4th is the day that is celebrated every year. They call it 'Independence Day'.
A Prime Minister has called a 'snap' election for that day in our United Kingdom. The UK is rarely described that way these days.
There are real challenges at this general election that newly elected members of our Parliamant have to face and sort out.
How low will the turnout be? How many of us are actually registered to vote?
Why do so many local people not vote?
"We should all vote," says Paul Macdonald. "Would you like to vote for a change?"
"At least three politiical party politicians will appear on the ballot paper.
"I call it a snap election because they snap their fingers and their votes appear.
"My name was on the ballot paper in 1992. Back then I was and still still temain a Liberal Party member.
"A new type of politics had appeared. Long story short.
"Westminster politicians from The Liberal Party and the Labour Party thought it would be a good idea to form a new Party now called the Liberal Democrats.
"They were the Social and Liberal Democrats. SLD. I said back then you cannot mix them as all you will get is sludge!"
"Should we vote for them or should an Independent name appear?
