New role for Hillside
(December 06, 2008)| WARMINSTER home hunters look set to have another option next year as a property developer has asked councillors to give the go-ahead to 23 houses and ten flats at Hillside, writes Paul Macdonald The former homeless hostel along Boreham Road which in the last century was full to overfflowing and even had mobile homes in its grounds is the latest development to be entering its final detailed stages. It has long been viewed as a site suitable for housing development once the land could be released as surplus because homelessness is being tackled in other ways. SPB homes are asking the go-ahead for the houses and flats which will be accompanied by 51 parking spaces. Neighbour consultation notices were sent out on Thursday this week with any comments needed by Christmas Day |
