New to the Silver Street mix

(January 07, 2009)
THE continually changing street scene in Warminster could see a new dining opportunity in Silver Street as an already established business seeks to move to larger premises writes Paul Macdonald.

Bombay Ben's has established its reputation in the town centre providing snackers with a wide variety Indian and gluten-free dishes and sandwiches.

They currently offer everything from egg on toast for breakfast to bigger bites like their combo platter of chicken tikka with kebab, onion bhaji, samosa and pakora for lunch at their small unit in Chinn's Court.

Planners at West Wiltshire District Council are being asked to allow the shop that had long been the home to Obelisk Antiques at number two to be converted into a restaurant.

It is a listed building in the town's conservation area and would join several other similar outlets that already exist nearby.

The council hope to give an answer at the end of the month or the early part of February.
