University challenge for Warminster shoppers
(February 08, 2009)RESEARCHERS from the University of Southampton’s School of Geography have been on the streets of Warminster today to quiz shoppers about the town.
People were asked to undertake a brief survey outside Morrisons and in the Three Horseshoes Shopping Mall.
Those who were quizzed were asked what they thought about the shopping facilities in the town and also what they would like to see happen.
The study of Warminster is part of a much wider national study into market towns and district centres in the UK, which is being conducted by the school.
