4Play Woodwind Quartet

Recital at St Marys Church, Upton Scudamore

at 7.30pm

The 4Play Woodwind Quartet comprising of two fl utes,

oboe and clarinet, are members of the Warminster

Philharmonic Orchestra. Rachel Stringer, Rebecca Lee,

Laura Keay and Amanda Williams are keen to re-visit

the Church of St Mary’s in Upton Scudamore after last

year’s sell out Proms Concert with the full orchestra. The

wonderful acoustics of the building lends itself perfectly

to the combination of instruments.

The repertoire for the evening will include famous

classics such as the overture from Marriage of Figaro,

Pachelbel’s Canon in D, Jesu Joy of Mans Desiring and

some modern numbers including Liberty Bell, Bright Eyes

and Karl Jenkin’s Palladio.

The quartet performed at the Chapel of St Lawrence as part

of the Warminster Arts Festival and are frequently booked by

the National Trust, private weddings and charity events.

Come along and join the quartet for a relaxing,

enjoyable and gentle evening of beautiful tunes

and a glass of wine!
