VFW calls for action on bus shelters YOUTUBE
(April 17, 2009)VISION for Warminster is keen to secure a better deal for bus passengers by improving waiting facilities at bus stops around the town.
Some stops have bus shelters, but these have been targeted by vandals, while other areas, such as the Groveland Estate on the 53 service to Frome, has nowhere for the mostly elderly and infirm passengers to shelter.
We have already taken action by getting one shelter repaired at Boreham Field and by raising the matter of the missing shelters with the mayor and town councillors at the annual parish meeting.
Hopefully we will see some new shelters appear in the coming year.
