Nine days of celebrating the visual arts begins soon

(May 12, 2009)
THE Wylye Valley Arts Trail which begins nine days of 'celebrating the visual arts in South and West Wiltshire' on the last Saturday in May has produced a masterpiece of its own.

"A booklet that is now appearing at various locations in Warminster is a work of art in its own right," says co-author of visionforwarminster.co.uk Paul Macdonald who added their website as a link.

"It is a collectors piece in its own right."

The easy to read publication has a very illustrative approach to promoting the fifth anniversary of the event that also has another claim to fame - probably the last imprint from West Wiltshire District Council.

It reveals a wide variety of artistic talent that is within easy reach of Warminster.

"The website is very good to look at but this is something I really wanted and was delighted when one of those responsible, Georgie Welch, made a special trip to deliver me one hot off the press."

The team at the Wylye Valley Art Trail is also made up of many well known local names who are contributing their time as volunteers.

The co-ordinator is Nick Andrew who was assited in the design of the guidemap by Laura Rich. A team of are co-ordinators comprise Celia burt, Jane parfitt, Carolyn Crossman and Ron Pybus.
