Warminster's wealth of artistic talent at WVAT

(June 19, 2009)
PAUL Macdonald also planned to get round the Wylye Valley Art Trail the Sunday before to make a video but a rather adventurous daughter saw him spend his time at Bath RUH instead.

"I enjoyed the nearly half dozen visits I made to the artistic displays before and the photos I took will spur me to support the next one.

"I wanted to link some of the artistry to summerhorse events and this still (pictured) from a visit to Georgie Welch at Sutton Veny captures the royal interest at the moment.2

Paul and his daughter supported the 'Wobble' on Sunday as Debra is an 'injured' member of the Pink Starlettes baton twirlers.

"Debra on crutches and I went to the park and thoroughly enjoyed several hours at the Warminster Wobble on the Sunday," said Paul.

"The smoothie was lush!" added Debra. "I got quite spoilt at Penny's Pantry and talked Dad into taking the lovely choc cake home to mum."

Steve also found some time to take a look at the artwork.

"As well as venturing into the artistic enclave of painters on the first Sunday of the event at the Smallbrook Studio I also visited a town centre attraction at St Laurence Chapel in the High Street," said Steve.

"Considering that I have lived in the town on and off for the past 51 years almost, it is amazing to thing that the WVAT providedshuttle the opportunity to enter this historic building for the very first time.

"Inside Annie Shuttlewood, who has trained in Bulgaria and exhibited at the Royal United Hospital, revealed an astonishing array and variety of work for someone still in her early 20s."
