HOT SNIPPETS shopping/development plan

(December 04, 2009)
Christmas shopping is an art?

The success of the Wylye Valley Art Trail during the summer is likely to be repeated as they launch another opportunity to those scratching their heads to find the Christmas present with a difference.

"I remember thinking when I went round the artists in the summer that everyone on my Christmas list has everything that I could buy and that something a bit different should be looked for," says Paul Macdonald.

"If anyone else is scratching their heads then the link to WVAT on visionforwarminster.co.uk to join the yuletide trail."

There is also a shop local campaign that has produced information to encourage support for local window shopping.

Town Development

The town council are holding a meeting on Monday night which could see many cross at the crossing delay as their Town Development committee take a look again at the demands that were expresed many months ago.

Ellie Pope, a concerned parent of children at Sambourne School, presented a petition (see several hot topics - search engine on home page)

"It has been accepted and I have been told that the work has been ongoing and will be discussed at this meeting,"said Paul Macdonald.

"But is complicated by who will pay for it from which budget which therefore needs to involve more and more people."

The agenda for the meeting has not been published on the town council website at the time this was written but will have to be posted on the noticeboard on the wall outside Dewey House.
