New owners for Warminster's Woodcock Road dairy
(October 23, 2010)CONSOLIDATION in the milk distribution business has continued this week
with the news that our local Planks Dairy has been sold to Pensworth
dairies.
All employees of the Woodcock Road dairy have transferred over to the new company and milk deliveries will not change.
''Pensworth are a local family owned business who have had the privilege of supplying milk an dairy products to Planks Dairy for several years,'' said area operations manager Phil Pryke.
''Now we welcome the opportunity to supply you direct.''
Hopefully the new firm will continue the enviable record of prompt and reliable service and reliable billing that was a hallmark of the Planks business.

"I have now been a loyal customer for several decades and again
suggest that Warminster residents should think about using the very
early morning doorstep milk delivery which sees the empties collected,"
adds Paul.
"Not only is the milk very fresh but it means that our need to be more green is answered at the same time.
"Go on. Let the electric rather than the polluting supermarket supermarket HGVs rule the early morning road!"
