Warminster's Fox and Hounds is top of the pubs
(June 04, 2012)WARMINSTER'S most popular public house has taken the prize of best pub in the Bath area after Campaign for Real Ale members voted it top of the pubs for 2012.
Hundreds of people were at the pub on Tuesday evening to mark the official presentation of the award.
VFW's Steve Dancey was one of them.
He said: "I've been visiting the Fox ever since it was an Ushers' tied house in the late 1970s - and regularly since 1990.
"Over the years it has always been popular but never more so than today.
"Chris and Marion fully deserve this success as they work extremely hard and always make everyone feel welcome.
"As a regular I can fully agree with CAMRA and say that in the eight years Chris has been in charge of the cellar I've never had a bad pint."
