The election of a Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire has to be one of the lowest key polls ever to have been held as Warminster people now say they have heard about it but doubt if they will bother voting.
Even the introduction of a well known town councillor and businessman, Paul Batchelor, as a candidate has not stirred up local public interest.
Only one other story has appeared in the 'must read' Warminster Journal and so far not one leaflet has dropped through the letter boxes from the six candidates.

"I just hope that this does not become known in the history books as the 'non' election because next to none turned out for it," said Paul Macdonald.
"And today I received another complaint that one household in Plants Green had not even received the Electoral Commission pamphlet!"
Fatal Road Junction
A village that has seen its junction with the A36 twice involved in fatal accidents this year is to be discussed by county councillors at the Warminster area board meeting on Thursday evening at the request of Cllr Christopher Newbury.
The Independent member of Wiltshire Council has arranged for the Highways Agency who are responsible for the A36 to be represented along with the Wiltshire Council cabinet member for highways who is responsible for the Upton Lovell 'C' class road.
The village will also be represented as an existing member of the area board which meets at the Assembly Hall in Warminster at 7pm with the Upton Lovell junction item starting at about 8pm. The doors will open at 6.30pm for refreshments.
Robust Campaign Promise
Campaigners against housing development on land to the east of The Dene in Warminster have welcomed the support of their MP Andrew Murrison.
"Our MP has quickly pledged his wholehearted support for us which is very good," East Boreham Residents Action Group organiser Nick Parker told vfw on Monday evening.
"The MP has written on our behalf to Wiltshire Council. I am attending the planning meeting of the town council next Monday to speak."
In his letter to the planning director at Wiltshire Council Andrew Murrison said 'You can anticipate a robust campaign against the plan and I intend to take a full and active part in it.'
